Nammo Composite Solutions (Nammo CS) has extensive experience in NADCAP-certified manufacturing, Automated Data Collection, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Process Capability Studies. Nammo CS’s QA staff works alongside our prime customer’s QA staff , requisite DoD contracting agent, and local DMCA sourcing to expedite First Article Inspections (FAI), Failure Investigations, and Corrective Action Reports (CARs), while at the same time collecting a depth of robust data.

Nammo’s shop floor controls are managed by Epicor software for material resource planning (MRP), enterprise resource planning (EPR) and overall job order/project tracking. Nammo CS uses the SmarTeam suite of software to manage critical information including drawing and specification revision control, configuration management, 3d models, and work instructions/work orders.

Our FAI process is compliant with AS9102 and is required for Nammo and sub tier suppliers for physical, material, and chemical test data relative to the contract specification (s).  All initial production units require a complete FAI.  Changes to sub tier suppliers, equipment, processes and process revisions require a delta FAI.

Nammo prefers to use Statistical Process Capability as much as our customers are willing to accept. With process capability study implementation, all drawing dimensions are considered key characteristics until a proven process control is demonstrated, i.e. a  process capability index of a C_pk of 1.33 or greater.  With this method, 100% dimensional data is be collected and analyzed for all key characteristics.  Any feature less than 1.33 CPK is evaluated for process improvement and may result in an immediate corrective quality control plan, which continually monitors the corrective data set.
